New World invites you to spend Easter with us. There will be two opportunities for worship. Sunrise Service on the grounds will begin at 7:15am. The Sunday morning worship service begins at 10:30am and included music with the praise team, choir an handbells and a special Easter message titled “The Miracle of Jesus”. Children’s activities and learning begins at 9:00am with breakfast. Come celebrate Easter at New World.
Our Children Need to Know Jesus
We prayed for a children’s director who would bring in more children for us to minister too. We prayed for the money to pay a children’s director. God answered those prayers. Stacey feels called to this ministry and drives a long way to serve in this church. Five new families with children are now attending regularly. She and Virgil have begun a new bus ministry which delivers 3 to 10 children to our doors each Sunday morning. Thanks to volunteers the children are served breakfast each week and their parents are getting connected via a small group and attending Worship. Praises to God! New Day for New World
No one likes change. Change frequently becomes a platform for anxiety in an individual’s life. We all like routine. Knowing what to expect makes us feel safe and offers us the comfort of seeming stability. Yet, change is inevitable. We are changing creatures in a changing world. Things are either changing for the worst or for the better. Nothing remains static. Growth and progress necessitate change. This is no less true with regard to the growth and progress of our church. : Every angel seems to use “do not be afraid” as an opening line. But perhaps no one needed to hear it more than Joseph. What was happening to him was the stuff that ruins lives. As a man in that time, he had all the rights to abandon Mary and preserve his dignity when he learned of her pregnancy. The stakes were high. But the angel’s message of encouragement was to see a difficult circumstance not with dread, but with joy.

When we read closely through the story of Jesus’ birth, we meet many characters who had cause to feel afraid due to the circumstances they faced and the cultural context of the time. But angels came to visit them, and the message they brought was “Do not be afraid.” In our modern day and age, sometimes we need to hear exactly the same message. This season, we encourage one another to “fly in the face of fear,” claiming hope, peace, joy, and love for the world.
