Day School

New World Day School is a Christian preparatory early childhood program focusing on Fine Art, Academics, and Christian values.

The Day School works diligently towards achieving the high standards that are required for the TRS program. Many things such as new curriculums and changes in classroom arrangments are being made. A complete makeover of lesson plans listing each major daily activity and it’s objective for teaching the activity is included in our daily lesson plans. In addition an explanation of how this will support the child’s learning in areas of Language and Communication development, Cognitive Development, Social/Emotional, Physical Activity and Motor Development is listed on the the daily plan.

Classes are offered for Kindergarten, 4, 3 and 2 year old children. To be eligible for enrollment, a child must be the designated age as of September 1st.

Chapel and Body Rhythmics are an integral part of our programs.

9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.

The Day School operates on the same holiday/teacher in-service schedule as the Garland Independent School District.

Full Day: 7:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.
(A limited number of extended day spaces are available for children who require all-day care.)

The safety and security of our students and staff is top priority for New World Day School. We have comprehensive plans in place for emergency procedures. Drills are practiced several times during the year.

FIRE DRILLS: Students will evacuate the building according to instructions previously given. We will only re-enter the building when give the direction to do so by the authority that deems the building safe.

LOCKDOWN DRILL: Students remain in the classroom, regular activity stops, all doors are secured and the students remain in the room until instructed by the safety instructor. All exterior doors are locked and no one is permitted to enter or leave the building. If you arrive during a drill, you must wait until the drill is complete to enter the building.

INCLEMENT WEATHER DRILL: The staff and students will be evacuated to their designated safe areas in the building.

Please be assured that the staff at our school will spend time discussing the importance of the drills and procedures with students prior to running the drill. Time will also be taken after the drill to remind them that it was only practice and there was no danger.
