Summer Program for Elementary Age Children
The Summer Program at New World United Methodist Church Day School provides a full day of fun, learning, and friendship in a safe and nurtruing environment. Our goal is to offer children meaningful experiences that blend creativity, exploration and summertime joy.
Daily Rhythm
The day begins with free‑choice center activities, allowing children to ease into the morning through play, creativity, and social interaction. After centers, children enjoy a morning snack before gathering for RoundUp.
Morning Round UP
During RoundUp, teachers introduce the weekly theme, highlight the special activities planned for the day/week, and help children transition into small‑group learning.
Small Group Activities
Children divide into groups for hands‑on experiences such as:
Art
Group Games
Outdoor Time
Gym Games.
These rotations keep the day active, engaging, and developmentally balanced.Exploration Throughout the Day
