Before and After School Care
The purpose of the New World United Methodist Church Day School’s Before and After School Care program is to provide care for children while their parents are at work. The center provides an environment through both its staff and program in which the children can feel secure and happy. The Before and After School Care program strives to meet the needs of the children as individuals by offering a variety of interesting, enriching experiences in a positive, relaxed, loving atmosphere.
During the school year New World United Methodist Church Day School provides before and after school care for children in elementary school.
In the summer, care is provided for 1) children who have just completed an elementary school grade; and 2) two, three and four year olds who have just completed New World’s two, three and four year old preschool program.
The Before and After School Care program focuses on designated learning centers: arts and crafts, music, literature, nature observation, and field trips. Nutritious snacks are provided. In addition, there are opportunities for free time with puzzles, games, drama, and other pastimes as the child’s interest dictates.
During the school year, a homework room is available. Most importantly, the center staff will assure each child has an adult with whom he/she can have a warm, supportive, caring relationship.
During the school year, New World provides care before school (open at 7:30 a.m.) and care after school (close at 5:30 p.m.)
During the summer months, New World provides full-time care (open at 7:30 a.m. and close at 5:30 p.m.).
