One of our greatest challenges as Christians is understanding who we are in Christ and living out of that reality.  We have great freedom as believers. We are free to be authentically who God created and called us to be. We have freedom in Christ, to be ourselves, to make mistakes, to be imperfect, to be great. Christian living is not about following a list of do’s and don’ts. It’s about living by faith in the one who has already done it.  Friends, that’s very good news. It means I don’t have to try to live a Christian life, I trust to live a Christian life. I trust the love of God for me in Jesus Christ. I trust God’s grace that saves, heals, frees and forgives. As we trust what Christ has done for us, we receive the grace to be ourselves. We don’t have to pretend.  We don’t have to beat ourselves up when we fail. We are forgiven, accepted, and loved. We should live like it.
