New World UMC Children’s 10 Week Series

Children are invited to join a Children’s Lesson Series starting February 1st for 10 weeks. Children Kindergarten-5th Grade.

February 1st: God’s Grace Made Me
Bible Verse: Genesis 1-2
Big Idea: God made us and has loved us from the very beginning.
Dress Up Theme: Creation Colors – wear as many colors as you can!

February 8th: God’s Grace Never Lets Go
Bible Verse: Genesis 3
Big Idea: We make mistakes, but God never stops loving us.
Dress Up Theme: Silly Socks/Inside Out Day – wear your silliest socks and your clothes inside out!

February 15th: God’s Grace Keeps Promises
Bible Verse: Story of Noah Genesis 6-9
Big Idea: God keeps promises and stays with us.
Dress Up Theme: Animal Day – Dress up as an animal or in animal print

February 22nd: God’s Grace Sets Us Free
Bible Story: Moses & The Exodus from Egypt
Big Idea: God hears the people who are hurting and helps them.
Dress Up Theme: Desert Explorer Day – khakis, bandanas, backpacks, binoculars 

March 1st: God’s Grace Shows Us How to Live
Bible Story: The Ten Commandments
Big Idea: God’s rules help us to know how to live lives that love God and love others
Dress Up Theme: Bible Times Day – robes, head coverings, sandals (the church can provide some options for dress up as well)

March 8th: God’s Grace Comes Near
Bible Story: The birth of Jesus – Luke 2
Big Idea: Jesus shows us what God’s love looks like
Dress Up Theme: Pajama Day

March 15th: God’s Grace Teaches Us to Love Like Jesus
Bible Story: The Good Samaritan & Jesus’ Teachings
Big Idea: We show God’s love by how we treat others
Dress Up Theme: Kindness Day – wear hearts, bright colors, or shirts with kind words or phrases

March 22nd: God’s Grace Sends Us
Bible Story: The Sermon on The Mount Matthew 28
Big Idea: God sends us to share love and hope.
Dress Up Theme: Mission Possible Day – dress as superheroes, explorers or in your favorite athlete’s jersey

March 29th: PALM SUNDAY – Hosanna! Jesus is Our King
Bible Story: Jesus’ Triumphant Entry into Jerusalem
Big Idea: We welcome Jesus with joy and praise.
*SERVICE WILL BE FOLLOWED BY LUNCH AND EASTER EGG HUNT*

April 5th: EASTER SUNDAY
Bible Story: Resurrection of Jesus
Big Idea: Nothing can stop God’s Love – Jesus is Alive!
Bring flowers to add to our flower cross!
