Running 4 Clean Water+ provides humanitarian outreach to children and families who struggle due to significant poverty in Sierra Leone in Africa. The mission is accomplished by making available clean water wells, sanitation facilities, solar lighting, supporting the development of medical clinics and schools, and providing a sustainable means of food production. R4CW+ partners with Seven Hills Global Outreach and Zion Ministries in Sierra Leone for this life saving mission.
2025 R4CW+, 5K Run (Chip Timed) / 1 Mile Fun Run, will be Saturday, October 25, 2025, 8:00am at Lon Wynne Park, Garland.
The Run / Walk event will start and finish at Lon Wynne Park, 3858 S. Glenbrook Dr (Glenbrook Dr and Centerville Rd intersection).

Go to the web page (Click on Button below) and select ‘Sign Up.’ Proceed from there to register for the event. Informational sheets are available at the church Welcome Center.
(Paper Participation Registration for the event will only be available the morning of the R4CW+ event.)
Donations: You may use the ‘runsignup’ link to make a donation. Go to the web page and under the Donate drop-down select ‘Donate.’ From there proceed with making the donation.
Sponsorships are submitted by using the paper forms at our church Welcome Center. Sponsorship Logo Deadline for the T-Shirt design is 10/3/25. Make checks payable to “New World UMC” with “R4CW+ Sponsor” on the memo line. You may give completed Sponsorship Forms and payment to James Welker.

Early packet pickup is at First UMC Garland on Friday, 10/24/25, 4pm to 7pm. Enter the church at the 9th Street entrance.
