Join us on Sunday Nov. 19th and Welcome our Guest Speaker Bart Patton.
Bart currently serves as Director of the Office of External Programs at SMU Perkins. Before coming to Perkins in 2016 as the Director of Youth and Young Adult Education, he served churches as a pastor, youth minister, congregational leader, worship leader, and teacher. His extensive ministry experience spans three states (Arkansas, New York and Texas) and seven congregational settings, including churches both large and small, located in rural, urban, and suburban communities. He has served the United Methodist Church since 2011.
As a consultant, author and curriculum developer for Cokesbury/Abingdon Press, he provides high-quality teaching resources for congregations.
With his passion for local church ministry, Bart was instrumental in revitalizing the Perkins School of Youth Ministry, and securing two one-million-dollar grant projects from the Lilly Endowment, Inc. for projects in congregational youth ministry innovation (Reboot) and thriving congregational practices (Testimony HQ).
He is blessed to live with his spouse of 22 years, Jenny, and his two teenagers—Will and Becca.
