Friends, I have two questions for you…….

1) Has your church been stolen?
If the answer is yes, I want to invite you to attend our church-wide book study. The dates for this study are June 10th, 17th, and 24th, at 6:30 p.m. This study will be led by myself and Rev. Don Robinson. We will journey together through the book, “Who Stole My Church: What to Do When the Church You Love Tries to Enter the 21st Century,” by Gordon MacDonald. You can order the book online through Amazon (remember to use Amazon Smile and select New World as your charity) or purchase at a local bookstore. Gordon MacDonald has pastored for more than forty years in five different churches and writes this story of a fictional congregation based on his experiences. MacDonald understands the many challenges churches encounter as they seek to move gracefully into the 21st century. I encourage you to purchase your book and start reading. Let’s all come out for this valuable time of dialogue, fellowship and learning together.

2) Are you ready to ROC out?
On Sunday June 30th following the 11:15 service we are going to ROC out! You may be wondering what this means. This means we’re going to Reach Out for Christ and we’re going to do this outside of the church. We will gather for a short time of prayer and praise and then we’re going out into the community to pray. We’re going to send teams out to pray for families and neighborhoods and businesses and individuals surrounding our church. We’re going to ask God to bless our community and, to reveal to us where and how we are to serve. You don’t have to worry about how to pray or what to say. There will be written prayers and we will be in teams. Also, those who may not be able to walk the community can pray for the teams and for our neighborhood at the church. We will end our time with lunch together at a local restaurant. Friends you don’t want to miss this opportunity to ROC out!
