Let’s ROC
On Sunday, June 30th we are going to take a step of faith and ROC out! We will be Reaching Out for Christ as we prayer walk through the community. We will gather for a short worship service, and then head out to pray for our neighbors. As we walk through the neighborhood, we will pray for God to open our eyes and our hearts to the needs around us. I want to encourage your participation and ask that you begin praying right now. Ask the Holy Spirit to guide us, empower us and lead us to the people we are called to serve. Amazing things happen when God’s people pray!
Sign up will begin this Sunday, June 23rd. We will go out in teams and there will be written prayers provided. Our time out will begin after the ROC worship service at 11:30. We will gather for a short time of prayer and praise, offer our gifts to the Lord, receive instruction and head out. Don’t worry if you are unable to walk, if you can pray, we need you! There will be a time of guided prayer for those who remain at the church. Those at the church will be providing prayer coverage for the walkers. There is room for everyone!
Afterwards, we will gather for fellowship and conversation at a local restaurant. Please sign up this Sunday after both worship services, contact the church office at 972.279.6145, or email [email protected] to be included.
I am excited about how God is going to meet us as we move out. I believe God has great things in store for us as we trust and follow the leading of God’s Spirit. It’s time. Let’s ROC.
