Once upon a time very long ago, a seed in the shape of a green portable building was planted on a large plot of land located on Northwest Dr. in South Garland, in a neighborhood called New World. From that seed grew a family of Christians aptly named New World United Methodist Church! That portable became a building and grew more and more and more. As did that family. And today we are preparing to welcome home each who have been part of our family for a reunion party and service of celebration for 50 years of ministry. I was blessed to be part of the beginning and am blessed to issue this invitation!

On Saturday, April 27 at 6:30 we hope you will join us for memories, music, friends and food. Childcare will be provided. This gathering will honor all young people who grew in their faith by participating in youth activities here and the adults who mentored them. Come visit with us as we celebrate them. On Sunday we will raise the roof with praise for all God has provided. Adam Hamilton will be our guest preacher, both at 10:00 and 12:30. There will be a reception in the middle.
I have been especially blessed, and am grateful for the time I have had loving and being loved by the youth of our church and their families throughout the years. I can’t wait to see you and have time to catch up! Hope you will get excited too!
