Opportunities to HELP the YOUTH
The youth are gearing for up for it's Ski Trip
2010.
The theme for this trip is
“Ain’t no mountain high enough or valley low enough to keep
me away from you”.
The trip is meant to be fun but it is also
an opportunity for the group to grow closer with one another
through friendship, fun, and faith; to have time to be with one another and worship with
each other. The purpose of this trip is to show that
God’s love is so large for us that he wants to have
a relationship with us and He has a purpose for us.
So, if you would like to help sponsor a youth to go
on this trip please contact Curtis either at the
office or on his cell.
There is need for an
enclosed trailer for the trip to carry luggage, food, equipment, etc.
If you have a trailer or know of one that we can use,
please contact Curtis on his cell (972) 835-7197. |

The Bereavement Fund needs your help!
At New World, our vision is to
be active disciples of Jesus
Christ by sharing His love and
grace. One way of expressing
the love of Christ is to be a
helping hand in a time of grief
and sorrow. In those difficult
times it is essential that the
family in need is offered support
through prayer, service
and/or giving. As a church
body we can come together to
offer that comfort and express
His love through our actions.
The Bereavement Fund is in
need of additional funding.
This fund is not supported by
our general budget. Many of
you provide food when we
need a meal and that is greatly
appreciated. However, there
are situations that require expenditures.
If you would like to
contribute to the Bereavement
Fund, please make your check
payable to the church and
make a notation that it belongs
in the Bereavement Fund.
Thank you for your support through prayers, service and giving. – Denise Hickman |

No Food or Drink in the Sanctuary
Please be considerate of the
people who maintain the church (that’s all of us in one way or another) and do not
bring food or drink into the Sanctuary. The Trustees have posted signs on the doors into
the Sanctuary, but please be cognizant of the costs that go into keeping the Sanctuary as
a place of worship.
If you have any questions, see Tony Harris, or any member of the Trustees committee.

Floral Tributes
Remember to sign up to provide flowers on Sundays in the sanctuary. This is a great way to honor
someone's birthday, anniversary, great accomplishment, or memory with a beautiful fresh floral
tribute. The cost of each arrangement is $25.00, payable to the
office in each designated month. The calendar is located outside
the doors of Parlor A and B. You may take the arrangement home after the 11:00 am service or you may
request that it be taken to a retirement home or a
shut-in. If you forget to sign up when you are at
the church, try e-mail.Thanks,

Giving Tree
The
John and Skip Shuler Giving Tree decorates the foyer of the new
Ministries Center. This elegant wall sculpture has
a heavy metal trunk with foundation stones at its base and gold
leaves on its branches.
Members may purchase stones or leaves at any time; the tree is
growing already. It is a handsome way to
express our memorials and honorariums, and donations just made out
of love for God’s blessings and our church. Leaves are $250, and
stones are available in three sizes: small, $500; medium, $750,
and large, $1000.
For further information, contact Bill Hindman at 972-279-5698 or the church office at 972-279-6145. |
