Boy Scout Troop 580 convene for their weekly meeting at New World each Monday night at 7:30 p.m., and they also have many high adventures camping out, rock repelling, canoeing, etc. planned throughout the year.

These young men and their leaders have the opportunity to interact with the church on several occasions throughout the year such as Scout Sunday in February, an annual fund-raising spaghetti dinner, and the annual Christmas tree sale just east of the church.  They also collaborate with the church trustees to make repairs and improvements to the church building/property from time to time as part of their on-going projects.  For more information on this great organization, see the Boy Scout Troop 580 web site http://www.bsa.net/tx/t580/home.htm or contact their scoutmaster at Richard.Davis4@worldnet.att.net.
